Maung Maung This Is Poem

This is New Zealand weather.

This is the sight of darkness, light, rain and sunshine.
This is the stomping of people running away to stay dry.
This is the feeling when you wake up freezing and shivering.
This is the New Zealand weather like the 4 seasons but in just 1 day.
This is the moment where people just want a normal day.

This is New Zealand weather again,
but now you know it better.

This is my best friend.

This is the smell of beautiful flowers and roses.
This is the sprinting of his legs while he plays sports.
This is the feeling when he thinks he’s taller than me.
This is the best friend, like a leprechaun.
This is the moment where he finally passes the ball to me.

This is my best friend again,
but now you know it better.

Maung Maung Extension Term 1 Project

This term the extension group have been working on a project that includes a whakatauki. My whakatauki is “Tukua kia tū takitahi ngā whetū o te rangi,” but in English translation its “let each star in the sky shine its own light.” Hope you enjoy my video!

Maung Maung Describe it

A group of intelligent and skilled mountaineers climb the peaceful and quiet snow mountain, with heavy gear to support their journey, and cold air trying to slow them down. As the sun slowly fades away they start to set up their tents, the sound of them hooking the tent to the cold snowy ground radiates through the ranges. A bright lemon coloured light illuminates their tent. But when they went outside of the tent to get some fresh air, they saw a bright, beautiful, gradient aurora lighting up the night sky. They taste of cold air as they open their mouths in shock.
